After spending several days in the Greenbrier Section of Smoky Mountain National, I identified two locations I wanted to focus on. This particular location was isolated and required that I slide down a ten foot slope with my gear before climbing across a number of boulders to reach the best location mid stream. Once I settled in, I was quite comfortable sitting on a large rock. I found a solid location to steady my tripod and the rest was all about waiting on the best light. Sometimes you find yourself being caught up in the serenity of your surroundings as I did on this occasion. It was apparent that we were well along the way of transitioning from the lush growth of summer to the color of fall.
