I spotted this Broad Winged Hawk perched near the mangroves and immediately set my gear in place to capture an image. The bad news was that this particular Hawk wanted nothing to do with a guy moving a bunch of equipment around. After having the time to quickly capture two frames, the bird lifted into the air and gracefully flew to another location. I however was fortunate in this case and both images were very sharp. The end result is this black and white photograph. I believe I’ve had as many unsolicited compliments on this image as I’ve had on any of the birds I’ve captured.
