This is my favorite location at Teton National Park. Every morning for a week at 4:30am, I rolled out of bed and drove the 20 or so miles to Schwabachers Landing. It is about a quarter mile hike from the car to where I captured this particular image. I must admit that I was a bit anxious on this trail in the dark, as running into a bear, moose or a number of other animals is a real possibility. Thankfully no encounters occurred and I was able to watch the sun rise on the Tetons each morning. On this day about twenty minutes prior to sunrise a beautiful pink cast occurred and reflected in the water. The whole thing lasted maybe three minutes as the sun continued its trek to the horizon.
