I spotted this group of aspens while traveling Kebler Road outside of Crested Butte. It was an overcast day that afforded me the opportunity to possibly photograph the trees earlier in the day than normal. After wading briars and tall grass for a hundred yards I reached the trees only to have the sun break through. For the next three hours I waited with my camera and tripod for more cloud cover. Finally, after waiting almost to sunset the light was right and this image was the result of my patience.
